    PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Garhara started its glorious journey in 1988 in a temporary building. Later it was shifted in its own new building in 1998 to cater the educational needs of Children of Railway employees, other Central Government employees, Central Government Autonomous employees, State Government Employees, State Government Autonomous employees and floating population of Barauni, Begusarai, Bihar. PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is a rewound institution in the field of school education and proving quality education.

    General information regarding PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Garhara

    • Location: The vidyalaya is located in Garhara Railway Yard, District Begusarai, Bihar. The vidyalaya is well connected by rail as well as road. It is 3 km away from Barauni Railway station, 2 KM from New Barauni Railway station and 15 Km from Hathidah Railway Station. Its distance from Barauni Zero mile is about 4 KM towards Barauni Railway Station.
    • Affiliation: The vidyalaya is affiliated with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which ensures that the curriculum followed is in line with national standards.
    • Infrastructure: The existing vidyalaya building is owned by KVS. Its infrastructure is provided by KVS. The facilities provided are high profiled with well-equipped Labs and Library, extensive playground, beautiful garden, and a lot of greenery with an environment suitable for all round development. The Vidyalaya is a two section vidyalaya and provides education in Science and Commerce up to Class XII and has adopted NEP 2020 policy.
    • Faculty: The vidyalaya is staffed with qualified teachers recruited by the KVS through a rigorous selection process. The are well trained in their subjects and undergoes in-service course and in-house training programs regularly to understand new challenges, demands and development in the field of school education and learn how to cope with these challenges by learning and adopting proper tools and techniques to impart quality education.
    • Curriculum: The Vidyalaya is following the CBSE Curriculum. The Vidyalay focus on academic as well as co-curricular activities and extra-curricular activities and skill education for holistic developments of the students.
    • Admission: It offers preferences to the wards of Central Government Employees includes Indian Railways, Department of Post, Armed Forces and Paramilitary forces. Admission guidelines reserves seats for admission under RTE, DA (Differentially Abled), SC, ST and OBC categories also.
    • Mission: Like all Kendriy Vidyalay the Vidyalay’s mission is to provide quality education, foster holistic development and cultivate values among students.
